MONDAY travel day We recommend catching the 10.04 am train from Paddington to St Ives (St Erth change trains ) which arrives 3.30 pm and is *£120 return - £170 depending on availability and how many changes of trains etc. The train prices quoted are Off Peak train fares. (*Train fare is not included in Holiday price)
6.30 pm - Group table booked at the famous St Ives 'Mermaid' restaurant for Fish & Chips and wine ( **Set Fish and Chips meal and wine is included in the Holiday price** (vegetarian alternative is available) ART ACTIVITY: Mini sketching exercise at the restaurant Intro to Holiday - Cleo and Mark to hand out holiday info booklets
TUESDAY 17th September Artist inspiration Alfred Wallis 11 am Guided Walk (2 hours) with local guide Tony Farrell Break for lunch (student pays for own lunch) 2.30 pm Meet at Smeaton's Pier for mixed media Drawings inspired by Alfred Wallis.

WEDNESDAY 18th September Artist inspiration Ben Nicholson 9.30 am Meet at the Car Park (tbc) Minibus out to St Michael's Mount (dependent on tide being low - if tide high we will get boat across and this fee is included with your castle entrance which is included in your holiday fee) ART ACTIVITY: En Plein Air exploring WATERCOLOUR Painting with Cleo
Break for lunch at the Island Cafe on the eastern side of the Island close to the main lawn entrance (student pays for own lunch) ART ACTIVITY: Bernard Leech Pottery Tour and Pinchpot session 6 pm - 8 pm Mini Cab will take us up from St Ives town to the Leech studios at 5.30 pm and return us at 8.15 pm
THURSDAY 19th September Artist inspiration:Barbara Hepworth ART ACTIVITY: Sketching at the Tate and Barbara Hepworth's Museum (those who have their own Tate membership will get a Tate St Ives tote bag in place of having museum fee paid for)
ART ACTIVITY: 2.15 pm Meet at the Island Centre Hall in Main St Ives for Mini 3D exercise in Card Construction of Maquettes inspired by Hepworth Photograph the maquettes on the harbour wall 5 pm Break for day
FRIDAY 20th September 10 am - 1 pm Porthmeor Studios Mono Printing Workshop with Local artist 1.30 pm Lunch Break Afternoon is Free Time for your choice of activities
SATURDAY 21st September Artist inspiration Patrick Heron and Peter Lanyon 9.30 am Meet at the Car Park (tbc) Minibus out to Zennor - passing by to briefly observe Eagle's Nest (Patrick Heron's former house) then dropped off at Man An Tol Stone site - we will sketch briefly at the Man An Tol stones **Early Lunch 12 pm at the famous 'Tinner’s Arms' in Zennor (DH Lawrence's old haunt) meal - student pays for own lunch - costs are around approx. £20 for light lunch and approx. £35 for a three course meal (this price doesnt include drinks)

SUNDAY 22nd September Artist inspiration - various artists ACTIVITY: Mackerel fishing trip OR Seal Island Trip 9.45 am meet at harbour for the boat Choose from a Seal Island group boat trip OR Mackerel Fishing trip (approximately 90 minutes) included in holiday fee (students to take sketch books)
Lunch Break back in St Ives (student pays for own lunch )
ACTIVITY 4 pm 'Mystery Art Sketch Trail' in St Ives with Prize Goody Bag of £50 Tate Gallery Gifts Homework exercise 6 pm break for the day
Monday 23rd September ACTIVITY: 11 am - Please bring your homework And also your luggage (which can be stored at the hotel ) Meet at the St Ives Harbour Hotel for Art work Feedback and showing of a Mini 3 x minute video of your holiday. Then you can stroll 5 minutes to the station to catch train home.
