Come and join our next WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOP! Tuesday 9th December 10 am - 1.30 pm - then if you enjoy it (which we are sure you will!) you can sign up for our new term starting in February) We are based at the lovely, spacious and light space in the URC church in the heart of Muswell Hill. (Corner of Queens Avenue and Tetherdown)
Come and explore a variety of useful techniques, inspired by the work of different established artists each month. We don't copy artwork, but look at ways we can be inspired by their themes and mark making. For example, the looseness of Constable's watercolour cloud sketches or the boldness of Kahlo's composition.
We start the sesion with an easy warm up exercise and then follow this with a more focused exercise to experience a range of useful technqiues such as sgraffito, layering, granulation media etc.
All levels welcome from beginners, to improvers and even professionals who may be feeling a litle bit rusty! All are welcome!
Tutor is Cleo Harrington MA(RCA) who has taught watercolour at the Maryward, WMC and RHACC colleges.
